Manchester United players dont have responsibility. They could not handle the pressure thrown at them. An improbable game with weird turn of events. Watford played great and did what all teams know how to beat Man United: Pressure them. But what to do if you are United? I say shore up the midfield because you have to play with what you have until the end of the season. I'm talking about giving up the three forward scheme and shore up the midfield.

Canada vs. Mexico, two days after

The game was played. I'm talking about Canada vs. Mexico for the world cup qualifier, in the iced astro turfed field. Two things are evident. Canada is for real and Mexico needs to make some changes. Interesting to see the talk, the day after and even two days after. In this episode I persist in making the case that Mexico's midfield needs some work.

Portugal vs. Serbia: Big names and no midfield
Monday Nov 15, 2021

The Portugal vs Serbia game was a tale of a big name team versus a tactical genius game plan team. Why does Portugal play a 4x3x3 when their midfield is crying for help all game long? All the talk is about the Portuguese coach playing defensive soccer. Lets see 3 forwards and then they play Sanches who is like a forward anyway. So that's 4 forwards and the midfield, a paltry 2.

Mexico vs. The USA (the dos a zero game)
Monday Nov 15, 2021
Monday Nov 15, 2021
I'm a big fan of the midfield game and I dont get why coaches insist on playing 4x3x3 that favors a front 3. Soccer has changed and the US team is right at the forefront of the changes. Mexico on the other hand is talented but they insist on playing 3 forwards and leaving the midfield undermanned. Was this the right strategy?

Manchester United versus Liverpool
Monday Nov 15, 2021
Monday Nov 15, 2021
The game Man U. versus Liverpool lingered for a bit and I wanted to upload some initial thoughts of what I thought of the game. What does Manchester United need? Why its simple, and its more of a midfield. Of course the Man U. coach made the adjustments later that I called for in my post. This was our first post of Street Play.
